Tata Motors on top gear to boost EV sales

Pune Tata Motors, India’s third largest auto maker, will launch six new electric buses over the coming two times to boost its leadership position in the electric request and grow the green member in the country.

” We’ll launch a new electric vehicle model coming time,” Vivek Srivatsa, Head, Marketing, Deals and Service Strategy at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility told FC without telling the model.

He said Tata Motors is the request leader with over 72 request share in India’s electric vehicle( EV) request in the first half of this timetable time, with deals of over 34,000 electric buses .

” We’re growing the EV request with new green vehicle models,” Srivatsa said, saying the company was on its track to deliver 10 electric models by 2025. At present it sells Tigore EV, Tiago EV hatchback, Nexon EV and Xpress T EV which have been well entered in the request.

” The deals instigation will be accelerated when six further EVs similar as Curvv EV, Sierra EV, Avinya and Harrier EV will be introduced in the request,” Srivatsa said.

He said till date over 1,4000 Tata electric buses were on the Indian roads and in the five months from April to August 2023 while Tata Motor vended 26,600 EVs, the EV assiduity had vended a aggregate of 36,000 units.

According to Canalys exploration establishment, in the first half of this timetable time, MG Motors, the second biggest EV players in the country, surpassed 10 per cent request share, largely due to the success of the MG ZS and MG Comet( also known as the MG Air), which gained traction in named requests.

On Thursday, Tata Motors introduced the each-new Tata Nexon EV priced at Rs14.74 lakh at the Delhi exchange. The range of the each-new Nexon EV LR has been increased to 465 km( MIDC Certified).

With V2L technology, the Nexon EV acts like a power bank, and helps stored energy in the HV battery to power external widgets, appliancesetc., similar as electrical camping outfit, power tools and a variety of consumer electronics bias.

The new Tata Nexon is also able of charging other EVs.
